To enhance the skills among students, various workshops related to art and craft, preparation of teaching aids, best out of waste, Micro and Macro lessons, Interior Decoration, Candle Making, Yoga and meditation etc. are organized in college.

WORKSHOP ON CRAFT

The workshop on art and craft was organized by Guru Nanak College Of Education, Gopalpur by Ms. Rama Chabra from fevicryl India. She gave practical knowledge of making different crafts like pot painting, pen stand making, mirror decoration, candle making and best out of waste.

WORKSHOP ON MICRO SKILLS

Workshop on various Micro skills was organized for the students to acquainted them with the skills of introducing the lesson, skill of explanation, skill of reinforcement, skill of questioning, skill of illustrating with examples, skill of stimulus variation etc. concerned teachers gave knowledge about various micro skills and its components.

WORKSHOP ON YOGA AND MEDITATION

Workshop on Yoga and Meditation was organized in College premises. The representatives Mr. Ajay Kumar and Mr. Veer Bhaan from Bhartiya Yoga Sansthan were invited as resource persons. They shared with students the importance of Yoga and meditation for stress free life. They demonstrated various Yog Asans and meditation techniques of enchanting mantras to relax the soul. They also shared benefits of yoga and meditation to cure various diseases.

While exposing the students to the theories and concepts of modern nursing trends, no efforts are spared to develop a practical orientation in them.  A series of seminars are organized which see students interact with Nursing Professionals who share their experiences and also give a firsthand insight into the world of Nursing Science as it stands today. To help you understand the world of Nursing Science, our panel of experts has provided an in-depth analysis of the various streams that one might venture into. Many seminars are being organized in Nursing college, Gopalpur. Last seminar was given on drug abuse.

Incharge of Subdivision Sanjh Kendra, Gill conducted seminar in Guru Nanak College of Nursing, Gopalpur, Ludhiana on 24 may 2017 about “International Day against Drug abuse” . In this Seminar personalities like A.S.I Kuldeep Singh ( Incharge police Station Sanjh Kendra Dehlon), A.S.I Virender Kumar ( Incharge police Station Sanjh Kendra, Haibowal ) & Team, Sh. Manohar lal (Retd. Reader District & Session Judge, Ludhiana) were also present there. College committee members were also present there like General Secretary Dr. Iqbal Singh walia, Principal Mrs. Anitha Ashok, vice Principal Mr. Jitendra Dhakar and other faculty members and all students of Guru Nanak College of Nursing, Gopalpur, Ludhiana. Sh. Manohar Lal gave knowledge regarding Free Legal Aid to the victims of Acid Attack, rape and handicapped victims. Inspector Satinder Singh Gurm also gave the knowledge regarding the various helpline numbers which are useful for the women and discussed about several law matters and also gave knowledge about various services being provided by Sanjh Kendra.

Another workshop on Basic Life support system was also conducted in this college previously. In this workshop students learned about the basic skills and about first aid.

SEMINARS

• National seminar on different educational themes is organized in the college in collaboration with Punjab University, Chd/ ICSSR/ UGC.
• Organization of Subject seminars is also a regular feature of the college. Students are required to present the presentation related to different fundamental subjects of B.Ed. and M.Ed.
